The Manage Individual Membership Type Groups page is used to view and manage individual membership type groups.
Membership type groups may be created for two reasons:
- To define dependencies between primary and dependent membership types
Kavi Members supports grouping structures with up to two tiers of membership levels: a primary and secondary (dependant) level. In two-tier membership systems, a group of primary membership types is defined as a prerequisite for a group of dependant, secondary-level memberships.
- To impose limits on memberships held simultaneously
In both single-tier and two-tier membership structures, the grouping mechanism can also be used to set a limit on the number of memberships within a group that can be held simultaneously.
View existing individual membership type groups, their names, availability, term and display order.
Access Kavi Members tools that allow you to edit or delete existing individual membership type groups.
Click the Add a New Membership Type Group link to create a new group.
The page displays a tabular list of existing individual membership type groups, plus links to tools to add, edit or delete a individual membership type.
The list displays the following fields:
- Name
The name of the membership type group.
- Dependency (Prerequisite Group)
If this membership type group is a dependent type, this field displays the name of the prerequisite membership type group. If this membership type group is not a dependent type, this field displays 'None: Primary Group.'
- Max in Group
The maximum number of memberships within this group of membership types that can be held simultaneously.
- Membership Types
A list of the membership types in this group.
- Action
Links to manage this membership type group. If the 'Delete' link is not visible, this membership type group is in use.
