Appendix C. Kavi Members Default Roles

These tables include all the types installed by Kavi Members by default. Since the application requires these types to function properly, they cannot be deleted, but they can be edited.

Note that these tables include the Kavi® Members default types only, and do not include types installed by default by other applications.

Table C.1. Kavi Members default roles

Role Name Description Default types
company_admin The 'company_admin' role grants access to the 'My Company' area and tools used to update company information and manage the company roster. This role is granted by assigning a Company Administration and Contact Type to a Company Representative. Company Admin', Primary Contact
Editor The 'Editor' role grants Kavi® Edit access and management rights to the organization's web site. Organization Editor
member The 'member' role grants access to the members-only area and Member tools used to edit personal account information and change passwords. This is the role typically granted to all users who can login to the web site, including members and nonmembers. It may be acquired through individual memberships or registration as a nonmember. It may be inherited by users who belong to a member company when they sign up as company representatives. No default types use this role, but it is commonly acquired through custom types assigned through membership.
org_admin The 'org_admin' role grants access to Kavi Members Admin and Report tools for all installed applications. Organization Admin
report_admin The 'report_admin' role grants access to Kavi Members reports and data downloads. Report Admin
super_admin The 'super_admin' role grants access to Kavi Members Super Admin, Admin and Report tools for all installed applications. This role generally grants access to all areas of a site, and site content and databases with few restrictions. This role can only be assigned to a user by by another user who already has the 'super_admin' role. This role should only be granted to knowledgeable users who need to manage site configuration.
