Industry Events

Members of the IFX Forum are active in industry conferences and trade shows, and assist the Forum's efforts to promote adoption of the IFX standard during their participation in these events.

In addition, the Forum itself participates directly in relevant conferences on standards development.  For example, the Forum's President, Richard P. Urban, has regularly been a delegate to the ANSI (American National Standards Institute) periodic Open Forum for Standards Developers.

The Forum also participates in the financial forum SIBOS, held in various locations around the world.  A session delivered by IFX President Richard Urban at a prior event covered the following content.

Session description:
IFX Forum will present a synopsis of the standard IFX architecture and highlight its interoperability with various corporate and international standards. IFX Forum has a long-standing commitment to interoperability in the standards community, exemplified by serving as a founding member of the IST Harmonization effort that resulted in the ISO 20022 payments messages. IFX was the first standard to implement those messages and IFX continues to host and participate in TC68 to extend that support. IFX also has formal Memoranda of Understanding with EACT (European Associations of Corporate Treasurers) in connection with its CAST effort, with Acord in the insurance industry and with X12F in the US financial standards arena.
