The Mailing List Home page displays information about a specific mailing list and provides links to tools used to manage this list, your list subscription and the list's archives (if archives exist for this list). This includes tools to edit and delete the list, and edit the list's subscribers.
Manage your subscription via the Change Subscription, Subscribe or Unsubscribe subforms.
View this mailing list's archives with the List Archives tool.
Access tools that allow you to edit or delete this mailing list.
Edit the list of subscribers to this mailing list with the Edit a List's Subscribers tool.
View information about this mailing list.
The following fields may be displayed:
- List Name
The name of this mailing list.
- Description
A description of this mailing list, especially its topic and purpose.
- Subscription
A description of your subscription and links you can use to change your subscription status. If subscribed, this will include whether you are subscribed as a regular or digest subscriber.
- Email Command Help
A link you can click if you would like to receive a list of email-based commands. Clicking this link will open a window with the request information prefilled. Send the email and the Mailing List Manager will automatically respond by sending you the list of email-based commands. Once you have the list of commands, all you have to do to use a command is send an email with the command in the subject line. For more information, see Email Commands.
- Policy and Usage
This mailing list's policy and usage statement. For best results when posting to the list, study this statement prior to submitting any posts.
Manage the list, your subscription to the list or view the list's archives.
The following options may be displayed:
- All Archives
Click this to access the List Archives tool and view this list's archives. If there are no archives for this list, this link will not be displayed.
- Change Subscription
Click this link to change your subscription, especially if you are already subscribed and want to change the type of subscription you are receiving, such as changing from a digest subscriber to a regular subscriber.
- Subscribe or Unsubscribe
Click this link to instantly subscribe or unsubscribe.
- Edit List
Click this link to access the Edit a Mailing List tool if you want to edit this list.
- Delete List
Click this link to access the Delete a Mailing List tool if you want to delete this list.
- Edit List's Subscribers
Click this link to access the Edit a List's Subcribers tool if you want to view or edit this list's subscribers.
