Kavi Mailing List Manager Help

Chapter 42. Edit a List's Subscribers

Overview

The Edit a List's Subscribers tool allows you to gain access to all of a mailing list's subscribers at once. Just select the mailing list you want to edit, then change one or more subscribers' subscription types by clicking checkboxes. Remove a subscriber from the list completely by unchecking all available subscription types.

The available subscription types are:

Regular Subscriber

Users who elect to receive every email that is to the list as a separate email.

Digest Subscriber

Users who elect to receive batched email (i.e., many email messages rolled into one). By default, a digest subscriber receives email after 30 messages, 48 hours or 64 KB of message body text have accumulated since the last digest.

Poster

To allow posts from an address that does not belong to a subscriber, add the address as a poster. Posters are not recognized by lists that only accept posts from moderators and are unnecessary for lists that accept posts from anyone.

Moderator

A moderator is an individual or groups of individuals in charge of a list. Moderation helps ensure that unwanted email does not get posted to a list.

Use the Edit a List's Subscribers page to:

  • Change the subscription type(s) of one or more existing subscribers.

  • Designate one or more existing subscribers as a poster or moderator.

  • Remove one or more subscribers from a list.
