The Manage a Company page allows administrators to manage a company's information, including the company's contact information, associated users, activity history and web site access.
Note
Membership information and links to manage memberships will be available if:
Membership is 'on' and configured for this site
This individual's or company's purpose is set to 'Member'
Note
A company is defined by Kavi Members as any organizing entity for a group of users. Kavi Members applies the generic term company to a variety of different kinds of groups, including business, non-profit, school, fan club, regional office, etc. Company information can be edited by the company administrator and by the organization adminstrator.
Retrieve and view a company's information stored in the Kavi Members database.
Access links to tools to manage this information.
Search for a company or set of companies by setting any or all of the optional fields to refine the search criteria. To view all available companies, leave the search fields set to the default values. If you set search criteria in more than one field, the results will only show companies that match all search criteria.
Options
- Company
Enter a full or partial value for the company name. The default is 'Any Company'.
- Current Status
Set this value to search for companies with this status type. This can be 'Active' or 'Inactive', or use the default value 'Any Status' to retrieve both active and inactive companies.
- Purpose
Set this value to search for companies with a specific purpose: 'Member Company', 'Company for Individual Members', 'Nonmember' or 'Staff or Administration'. If set to the default, 'Any Purpose', the search results will return companies with any 'Purpose'.
- Company Type
Set this value to search for companies with this specific type, or use the default value 'All Company Types' to retrieve all types of companies.
Information for the company you selected is displayed, along with links to tools that allow you to manage this information.
This section includes links to tools to Edit, Change Status, Delete and View Activity History.
Types of information and links:
- Company Information

Information about this company is displayed. Most field names are similar to the labels seen on Kavi Members pages.
Fields that may not be familiar from Members pages include:
- Company Status
This is either 'active' or 'inactive'. Company status is an indicator of whether users from this company can access protected areas of the site or not. Users from 'active' companies have access, users from 'inactive' companies do not.
- Preferences

Depending on your organization's policies, these privacy preferences may or may not be displayed.
- Privacy Option

This option controls whether a Company Roster will be available for this company.
If set to 'Yes, share information' (1), a roster of this company's users will be available on the Company Roster page. If set to 'No, do NOT share information' (0), a roster of this company's users will not be available on the Company Roster page.
Note
Administrators may use this field to make decisions about whether this company should be displayed in other places that are unique to this site. This setting DOES NOT impact any other mailing lists or contact options on this site, including those in Kavi® Groups.
- Show on Signup

This option controls whether the company will or will not be displayed on the Company Representative Signup form.
If set to 'Yes, show on signup' (1), this company will be displayed in the pulldown list that company representatives use to select their company. If set to 'No, do NOT show on signup' (0), this company will not be displayed in the pulldown list that company representatives use to select their company.
- General Types
A list of any 'general' Company Types assigned to this company outside of membership. All this company's users inherit any roles associated with these types from the company.
- Admin Access Types
A list of any Company Types in the 'Admin Access' category that are assigned to this company. All this company's users inherit any roles associated with these types.
- Last Modified
The last time this company's information was changed.
- Company's Membership

This section will only be displayed if membership is enabled on your organization's web site and the company's purpose is 'Member Company'.
Company's Membership
- Name
The membership name.
- Membership State
The state of this membership in the membership workflow process (e.g., 'current', 'archived', 'pending moderation', etc.).
- Bill

If Kavi® Billing is installed and this membership type has a fee, then the billing information for this membership will be displayed in this field:
The status of the bill, as defined in Kavi® Billing. This can be one of several default values.
The amount of the membership fee.
- Term
The term of this membership, as defined by the date the membership became effective and the date it will end. If this is a lifetime membership, the second value in the pair will be 'Lifetime', rather than a specific date.
- Action
Depending on membership rules, the following links may be displayed:
- Edit
Click this link to manually edit the start and end dates of this membership or to add information about whether the company intends to renew.
- Renew
Click this link to renew a current or expired membership.
- Replace
Click this link to replace a current or pending membership with a different type of membership.
- Delete
Click this link to delete a membership.
- Company's Users

This section lists every user who belongs to this company. If you want to add a new user to this company, click Add User. If you want to view or edit an existing user, click the Manage link for that user.
Fields:
- Name
- Primary Email and Work Phone
- Company Administration and Contact Types
These types are assigned to classify the user's relationship with their company and the way in which they represent their company to the organzation. Users who fulfill positions of special responsibility (e.g., Primary Contact, Company Admin, Company Editor) are assigned types that confer roles that provide the higher level of access privileges these users need in order to perform their duties. Click the View Access Configuration link under Types and Access for more information on these types and any associated roles.
- Status
This is either 'active' or 'inactive'. Inactive users won't be able to login to protected areas of the web site.
- Action
If you want to view or edit an existing user, click the Manage link for that user.
